Lastly, the Samagra Shiksha Chandigarh had invited online applications from the interested and eligible job hunters for filling up 418 vacancies of Junior Basic Teachers (JBT) on contractual basis under the Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA). Closing date for the submissions of online forms was 1st November 2018. A lot of job seekers have applied for this notice because they want to make use of this golden chance.
There will be the only written examination in the selection procedure for these vacancies. Written test will contain 150 multiple choice questions. The exam will be of total 150 marks. Duration of the test is 2 hours and 30 minutes. Questions in the exam will come from General Awareness (15 Questions), Reasoning Ability (15 Questions), Teaching Aptitude (15 Questions), Information & Communication Technology (15 Questions), Test of Punjabi Language and Comprehension (10 Questions), Test of Hindi Language and Comprehension (10 Questions), Test of English Language and Comprehension (10 Questions), Mathematics (15 Questions), General Science (15 Questions) and Social Science (15 Questions). There is the provision of negative marketing in this test. It means 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. The question paper will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except for the language tests.

Reasoning Ability: Alphanumeric Series, Logical Reasoning, Data Sufficiency, Ranking/Direction/Alphabet Test, Puzzle, Syllogism, Blood Relations, Input Output, Coded Inequalities, Seating Arrangement, Coding Decoding etc.
Arithmetical and Numerical Ability: H.C.F. & L.C.M., Average, Problems on Numbers, Problems on Ages, Number Series, Tabulation, Surds and Indices, Percentage, Profit and Loss, Ratio & Proportion, Partnership, Chain Rule, Time & Work, Decimal Fractions, Simplification, Number, Square Root and Cube Root, Pipes & Cisterns, Time & Distance, Problems on Trains, Calendar, Clocks, Races & Games of Skill, Linear Equations in Two Variables, Boats & Streams, Alligation or Mixture, Simple Interest, Compound Interest, Area, Volume & Surface Areas, True Discount, Banker’s Discount, Stock & Shares,Trigonometry, Quadratic Equations, Arithmetic and Geometric Progressions, Geometry, Polygons,Heights and Distances, Co-Ordinate Geometry, Pie-Chart, Bar Diagram, Line Graphs etc.
Information & Communication Technology (ICT): Questions in this section will be asked from internet, computer and other technology subjects.
Note: For Test of Punjabi/ Hindi/ English Language and Comprehension, Mathematics, General Science and Social Science, the difficulty level of the questions will be up to Class Xth.
